The Probability & Statistics Group Heidelberg-Mannheim has a wide research focus around
- probability theory, in particular the study of stochastic processes,
- applied probability including computational aspects
- mathematical statistics
- uncertainty quantification
- computational stochastics, in particular for stochastic processes,
The focus at Heidelberg lies on mathematical statistics whereas the research groups in Mannheim focus on theory and applications of stochastic processes.
Students, doctoral students and postdocs can profit from joint supervisions, workshops and the complementary lecture program at both universities.
We are always looking for talented researchers. If you are looking for a PhD position or a postdoc position please do not hesitate to contact a faculty member!
